WHAT IS SPIRIT

Your spirit is the "very essence of your being". 

Spirit is Light.  Spirit is kind, gentle, affection for all of existence.  Spirit is a fondness for the downtrodden and weak.  Spirit is that tiny voice inside your head, yet Spirit is the overwhelming feeling of warmth that you feel within.  Spirit is the absence of  fear in the Light of Truth.  Spirit is the tremendous strength we use in search of Justice.  Spirit is that ancient inner knowledge that we are taking the right or the wrong action.  Spirit is what links us together, our human bond.  Spirit is where our dreams play.  Spirit nudges us forward when we feel we can't take another step or face another day.  Spirit is child-like innocence.

In the beginning, there was one Great Sea of Spirit,  of Light and  Energy that filled all of the Universe.   That Great Spirit drank of Itself  and unto Itself and then there was Great Spirit and empty space.  Spirit inhaled deeply and upon exhale created the Universe.  That was the beginning of Creation.  With each of It's Creations, life was born.   And Nature was born of Spirit and Energy.

And then Spirit smiled with delight and imagined a species of "free thinkers"  to romp and play and enjoy this Universe and Nature.  And so Spirit created mankind.  He created Man in and of Itself, with Spirit and Mind.  He envisioned a ring of harmony that would link Nature and Man throughout the Universe.

This was Spirit's desire. And it Was Good.

I shall not name Our Creator.  Naming Creator causes distress to many people who have yet to discover that there is only One.  As "Free Thinkers", we all have chosen our own name for Spirit. Most times it is the name that we were taught by our elders, parents, church, or religion.  Naming Spirit causes some "free thinkers" to disbelieve in a Creator.  Naming Spirit pulls us away from one another, believing our teachings are the only right ones and everyone else's is wrong.  I assure you, my brothers and sisters, that The Creator goes by many Names, yet there is only One.  And this Great One Created Nature and Mankind.  And so, you can see, that We are all One, Created by and of Spirit.

And this is Your Spirit.  Seek It, Feel for It, Listen for It, and you will find It.  It was with you all along.  You are not and will never be Alone, for Spirit is with You always.  Trust in Your Spirit, and you will learn Your purpose during this cycle of Life, Your Earth Dance.

The term "Spirit" is used above for ease of many of my readers.  However, He/She is Great Spirit and Spirit is Energy, Light and Love.   Please replace term with whatever resonates with You.
