I feel the need to write about war. In my desire to follow the direction of my higher power, the creator of the heavens and the universe, I am a lover of all humanity. I believe that we are all brothers and sisters in His eyes. As He has said " I have spread my sheep in many flocks". I AM a member of the HUman race first, born into the nation of America second.
As a believer of Him, I cannot condone war in any shape or form. The killing of thousands of innocent people in an effort to remove one seed of evil is not justification. The seed of evil must be separated, removed, captured, or struck down individually. Innocent people must not be killed in an effort to achieve this goal.
As an American, I am a lover of my country and the laws that our founding fathers set forth. The laws of Freedom, Liberty, Justice, and Democracy for all. To place America and it's people into a classification of being greedy, arrogant war mongers is a direct insult and something I know is not true. We have been placed into that classification and at the same time have become the most despised nation in the world. For that, I am not proud. It is not a true characterization of the America that I know. The America that I know has been one of great help and healing to all nations. We are a country of peace loving, freely giving people who have extended our hearts, money, time and energy to humanity all over the world.
The present situation that we have been put into has placed us into direct danger by American hating terrorists from all over the world. The tragedy of September 11, 2001 was our first wake up call to the dangers of fanatical minds that wish to disrupt our continued efforts of peace and freedom. It was an act that cannot be forgotten. This act of terrorism occurred on American soil but killed innocent people of many different nations.
It is the duty of all nations to use methods of democracy and diplomacy to find a multilateral means of dealing with these fanatical tyrants. 100 heads are better than 1. One man should not hold the power to disrupt the diplomatic efforts of many nations.
Now that our leaders have chosen to forgo this war without the approval of the United Nations, we have withdrawn from the diplomatic process that was wisely put into place many years ago to prevent one leader from having the capability of putting innocent citizens in danger and dividing the world's peace process. 100 heads are smarter than 1.
To believe that this war will destroy the seed of evil governing Iraq and prevent future terrorist attacks is to be misinformed. Saddam Hussein has had 12 years to plan for this day and has unmistakenably put into place a means of escape from our bombs. This war will "obliterate" a city that is thousands of years old and it's people within, but it will not pluck out Saddam Hussein. Just as the war in Afghanistan did not pluck out Osama Bin Laden. These fanatical minds are too clever for that.
To be against war is not to be unpatriotic. It is to be against using violence and weapons in the place of using intelligence and reason to capture the tyrants of the world who mean us harm. We cannot fight for peace. The words fight and peace do not belong in the same thought. They are complete opposites.
To classify innocent citizens under the label of "axis of evil" simply because their nations are ruled by seeds of evil simply infuriated and demeaned the innocent ones. It was not a wise or a fair choice of words. Those few words bred millions of people who now hate America. The act of one man dividing his country and the world's peace process is intolerable, regardless of who that man is. His actions simply have fueled the terrorists of the world and invited them in to show their acts of hate and aggression to the innocent citizens of America. So now we must fear for our children's safety, our water supply, and the food that we eat. The very basic sustenance of life. This has opened the flood gates for hatred to be spread from all parts of the globe, not solely the one in which most of our attention and manpower is focused. Terrorists love for their victims to be distracted.
It is not my desire to try to convince those who approve of the current administrations plan to bomb Iraq that I am right. Simply that there is more than one way to look at our current situation. It is my very deepest wish that Saddam Hussein will be captured as he is a very dangerous man. However, reason tells me that is not very likely using the present plan. So I can only pray for the safe and quick return of our courageous men and women sent to fight the war, whom I support whole heartedly for their own convictions, and the people of all nations, including my own, America.

Oh my goodness ...When I wrote this page leading up to the war , who would have thought 8 years later, and tens of thousands innocent lives lost, the war would continue to escalate with no end in sight. I cry for our world. My brothers and sisters, we must unite to tell our world leaders that we will not continue to support this evil madness. We must educate ourselves to the true reasons behind these wars. If it was about Bin Laden, he is dead. If it was about Hussein, he is dead. The wagon full of excuses they espouse on a daily basis is to the gain of those in power. It is for their best interest, not ours, the people of this planet. War is a major moneymaking business, and so is oil. Just stop listening to the daily news and what they offer. Take some quiet time in contemplation and listen to the voice within. Does it say that war is justified? Is any war justified? What are we, 3 year olds in a sandbox with no skills for communication, diplomacy and compromise?
I took a break from this website for 3 years, as the events of the world around me became just too personal. Those of us who scream for justice grow weary. It has never been my desire to speak of the atrocities of this world on this personal website. Yet where can our voices be heard? I have marched Washington, I have attended peace vigils. I have signed petitions. I have written my representatives. Along with 100's of thousands of our strong and brave brothers and sisters. We must not stop now. Just as they ramp up their actions, so must we. Remember, there are more of us than them.
Please take time to educate yourselves with news from alternative websites. There are many u.s. sites now who have broken themselves free of the reigns of fear to enlighten its readers. Praise these people who are risking their personal and financial safety to help spread the truth. Creator sent for truth seekers and spiritual warriors to help do His work during these troubled times. God Bless those who are not afraid to die for the truth and justice for all. Please don't believe the spin that the mainstream media puts on the truth. The truth is out there, but not coming from your tv. The www is not here by coincidence. It is here for a wealth of information that you will not get from tv.
My friends, there is a mighty battle taking place between the darkness and the light. Please recognize it for what it is. The current economical downturn was needed to break us free from our blinded idea's of what we came here for. Are we to use this life of ours to gain more money, houses, cars and toys? Really? How many of us bought into the lie of the "American Dream" and have now lost our homes and jobs? How many of us have lost everything and are now sunk into deep depression? Need I say more. The economical shape of this world is like a sci fi movie that has no end. And in ways it is sci fi. Who would have thought that the treasuries would begin printing green paper and call it currency with no tangible thing to back it up? A large part of the problem began when they invented and we all started using Etrading. These are just numbers that fly across the www. They are not real money. The only time it is real money is when it is a purchase from me and you. Boy, don't they grab that cash then, and quickly. When one country offers financial support to another, or borrows money from another do you think there is some truck or ship carrying that money to the receiver? Heck no, it is done electronically, with currency that doesn't even exist. What a world we have become.
We must wake up now, and quickly. My father taught me a phrase that is fitting and I use it all the time. "Call a spade a spade". (Dad, you like that don't you?) ;0) Stop supporting the major corporations. Shop mom and pop when you can. Reuse, recycle, share. There are enough "THINGS" on this planet already. There is enough for everyone if we just share. Let's begin taking our freedom and power back. Remember, the power lies within the consumer. Stop buying!!! That will get their attention. If each of us accepts our individual sovereignty and demand freedom from this illusionary system they place in front of us our lives will be much more enjoyable and productive. We did not come here to live for the likes of those in power. We came to enjoy the experience of Earth and all It has to offer. We did not come to be slaves to a draconian system that is in steady decay and will take us down with it if we allow. Break free my friends and "put your thinking caps on" (another of my dad's favorite sayings) ;0)!!! There is a way out, even if individual. Encourage your family and friends to do the same. We can overcome with the strength of all of our voices. Roar like a lion. We are behind you. Using a phrase in a more humane and realistic voice "YES WE CAN"
